Expectations
Mission
The Table Mentee Extension Group’s mission is to provide rising leaders of color with resources in business and leadership development. By expanding perspectives of minds, we connect motivated individuals with leaders of experience to enhance and develop the skills and tools necessary that will strengthen the individual’s business and community impact.
Mentee Expectations and Guidelines:
- Meet a minimum of one hour per month. Time commitment to be determined between Mentor & Mentee.
- Determine a meeting cadence and be respectful of time
- Take initiative to drive the relationship and your own career development and planning
- Build trust with one another by being open and honest
- Accept and value one another’s differences
- Maintain confidentiality between one another
- Prep ahead. i.e. have an agenda or topics to discuss
- Follow-up and follow-through with any homework or commitments
- Provide feedback about the mentoring relationship and be open to receiving feedback.
- Continuously align to ensure needs of the mentee and skills of mentor are a good match and working for both parties
- Provide appropriate feedback to The Table regarding your mentoring process and results
